Even though the car is front wheel drive, it is useless in the snow, or good enough to get by?
It's my only/primary car, so I'll have to use it in the snow.
Thanks,
Joe

but with the performance tires of the TT, you had better get some type of snow tire, and not just a M&S combo.

I think any car run in winter, whether FWD or not, needs snow/winter tires. Just that much safer for gripping and stopping.... nevermind the peace of mind. Got my setup from TireRack.com for about $700.

for the FWD's ability to spin your steering tires you will do just fine. Saab after all, and I have driven them for years, are adequate, in fact touted as snow cars. I much prefer RWD for fun in the snow, but, properly driven, the FWD TT will do just fine.. You must put snows on all 4 wheels or all sorts of interesting things will happen.
