FYI
I finally got fed up with my service department...three strikes and I called AoA. The information I was told is very unsettling and thought you should all know.
I told them everything only to find out that it is out of their hands since each dealership is independently owned and they have no control over the employees in the service departments. I still haven't figured out what these so called advocates CAN do for us who have been tortured by our service departments.
Needless to say, my saga continues. One more trip back to fix what they broke. That will make number four. So much for trying to get Audi involved.

I'm worried about my future purchase a little...
I worked in a service dept. when I was in high school, just doing clerical stuff, and I saw how low on the evolutionary chain they can be (I say can, because some of them are wonderful people... but some of them are not!)
The lowest point was when the service manager's mom brought in her Trans Am, and the mgr. charged her close to double for work that wasn't really needed. The Parts guy, a nice person, was shocked that he would do that to his own mother--he replied that he had to make his money somehow... Aargh!
I've been reading about all the bad service going on, and it seems to be an unusually high percentage. I hope this is because people with good experiences aren't posting as much, or something like that...but I'm getting nervous! If there are going to be problems, and the service is going to suck, maybe I should just get a Corvette! (no, I won't)

NJ lemon law
In 1993 we had a very bad car and were treated poorly by the dealer (Ford). We learned about the state's lemon law and basically got all of the info through the state attorney general and presented it to the dealership.
It turned out that they settled almost immediately when they realized we were serious (our problems had been going on for months and met the threshold).
A good place to start is

good luck!

We've had the same response from our Subaru. Dealer's are independent.
