Default Dano's doing it....>>

Russ Scott just did too with the RS and a modified adapter solution.

I've liked this valve better than anything that's ever been on the car..:-)

Default ah gotcha. i've go the new diagphragm sitting at home but to be honest

i haven't had any issues with the longevity of the original non-reinforced rubber ones.

Default What makes the RS less easily adapted to our cars? They do make a recirc adapter...

is it something else?

Default Greddy RS adaptation>>

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/34314/adapt.jpg"></center><p>
Connecting both the inlet and outlet of the valve to 1 inch ID hose is required to adapt the Greddy valve to a 1.8t. On the outlet side, adapters that replace the RS's blue anodized "horn" are available, but I could find them only in 19mm and 29mm. So I used the 1 inch (25mm) adapter intended for a Greddy S, honed the RS's "horn" until the adapter would slip inside it, and bonded the two together with epoxy. not so elegant... but functional.... heh!

installed, in reverse orientation, with a Forge DV relocation kit. I polished the anodizing off of the horn and reshaped it a bit. The blue is several shades off of the Samco Blue, so it looks better in "natural" IMO.

Actually I have grown to like it -- seems to be less now though
