Too technical. Can't test with high beams on, simple!

Default Fact is, when all of the mag's do there tests, they take the best run.

C&D does it with 3. Therefore, your car does in fact do a '6.7 sec 0-60.'

The boxster s, sure it does a 5 and change, but in the original C&D review, they admitted that was there best time. Another of the 3 was deep into the 7's because the wheel hop was so violent.

The AMG SLK? Sure its fast. But I'm convince the 4.5 run was the driver's launch of a lifetime. Can't see how a front engine supercharged car can do a 0-60 in the basically the 'same time' as a mid engined normally aspirated 360 Modena or 996 Turbo which both have a higher power to weight ratio.

Default Dood!! inside>>>

I tested my car at sealevel with one of those things and it said I ran a 16.8 1/4 mile and something like a 9.2 0-60.... I was a full second and a half FASTER than that with the same mods at 5500 feet elevation...

I really dont think the stupid things work

Default Yeah but...some cars are built to better than normal spec and some that

come from the factory are lower than advertised spec...... The Gtech itself is a pretty accurate instrument.... definetely worth the money...

Default And if you think...

... the manufacturers don't send the BEST one off the line that day to a given magazine, I've got a bridge to sell you...

I wonder how many full-page ads you need to buy to get a perfect review for your product a la ///M3?

Default 0-60 is more based on where the power comes on....

a supercharged car will have almost all the power very low in the powerband....as long as it has relatively high power, it should be very quick 0-60. The 1/4 mile evens out the field a little better b/c its a longer stretch....you'll find that the 996 turbo and Modena are definitely quicker than an SLK32 in the 1/4

Default I did some preliminary sprints last night and just like you I have to say...

I am a little disappointed in the results. I'll post plots of the data when I have a little more time on my hands to run more tests sometime in the next few days. It's tough to get the car below 7-sec (0-60) without trashing the clutch.

Actually, from the early 225 Roadster reviews, I'm convinced Audi sent out ones with bad DV's!
