Default Wendy...does the plate garner attention from law...just curious..

having no front license plate is thought to be more 'stealth' that Euro insert...

Default Real German plate + holder = Class

I have an authentic German plate on the front of my TT, with a German Audi dealer plate frame, which someone on these baords was nice enough to sell to me. I think it looks clean, and anything beats a regular plate up front. I dont see any Honda kids using euro plates, just some cheesy VW's here & there, and the plates always look bad, because they get something stupid like Golf VR6 on them. I had to go with the euro plate, because my TT came with a front license plate bracket on it, so I had holes in the euro plate cover already. I'm happy I went with the euro plate though, reminds me of where my TT should be.

Default so, what if you had one made with your actual license plate no?

is the law that you display the number, or that you display it on the correct plate for your state (or both).

Default I've been meaning to ask the State Police about that exact possibility.

I have a feeling I know the answer. I'd be happy just shortening the plate so it didn't hang down so low. I'm sure if it were legal to alter your existing plates or change them we would see them around.

Default I had it on the front when I got pulled over with laser in 9/00 before I got my V1. Wasn't noticed

or mentioned by the cop then or have I been harrassed since.

Ronzo tells me its a $75 fine now for no front plate here in CT. I have a front plate....just not one from this state ;-)

I also have a Euro plate on the BMW...guess I'm living dangerously...LOL

I think it's kind of ricey (or is Kraut a better term?). After all, we don't live in Germany.
