GIAC chipset/ecu dead - car won't start

Anyone else get the GIAC chip/ecu for the 1.8T (225) installed then not have the car start??
the new version is 2.V08
It was too late to call Todd (AWE) but I expect to talk to him today..

Did you just get the ECU and tried to start it? If yes, I would unplug and reseat the two plugs. Chances are the plugs might not be seated all of the way in.
You have to make sure the sliding clips are OUT all of the way BEFORE pushing the plugs into the ECU.

Talked to Todd.. dead giveaway is no "check engine" light while starting - indicates bad ecu
(he says there have been a couple of bad ones and the set for the 225 is brand new) so they're going to replace it (and I still have the stock one) so no real loss at this point.
If the connectors were not completely seated, none of the idiot lights would work, or some of them would flash.

You had only said the car cranks, but nothing else happens. the car can crank without the ECU I believe.
You also didn'r say that you had a stock ECU!
