Default GIAC vs ABT chip- opinions?

Thinking of chipping my early '01 225 TTR with Mill-tek exhaust already fitted. Opinions on which chip to use. Have at it...(also, my son is getting the new 337 GTI, same question.)

Default why compare those, I would compare ABT to MTM - GIAC to APR.....

any will suit you fine. First 2 are german tuners, latter american. APR is unique in that they offer a variety of programs that can be switched on the fly for race and different octane settings.

Correction APR programs cannot be switched on the fly. You have to turn off the car to do that.

Default No....you pull up to stoplight, change settings and drive off.

unless I'm delusional, which may be the answer, I have stopped at a light pressed the button waited for the dash lights to cycle to the appropriate program and driven off. Have changed between stock and performance programs many times just that way.

Default Me too, the only thing it says in APR's documentation is that you should not switch modes...

while driving because it may distract you. Doesn't say that you have to turn the car off.

If customer service is important, I would NOT recommend GIAC
