Good morning everyone. I'm the newby with the questions. Did some crude before/after chipping tests

And I'm not sure what to make of it.
I took some crude stopwatch times measuring the time it took in different gears to reach a certain speed. No shifting. For example:
1st gear, 10mph to 25 mph.
2nd gear, 20mph to 40mph.
3rd gear, 40mph to 60mph.
4th gear, 50mph to 70mph.
5th gear, 60mph to 80mph.
I made sure that the starting mph was within the 3000 to 3300 rpm for better turbo involvement. I did this before and after I chipped my 225 roadster with an MTM chip. Four to five trial runs per gear gave me an average time for each. Both were done same time of day with same temperature and half a tank of 93 octane.
Average Stock times where:
2.24 sec 1st gear 10 - 25 mph
3.26 sec 2nd gear 20 - 40 mph
3.96 sec 3rd gear 40 - 60 mph
4.97 sec 4th gear 50 - 70 mph
6.65 sec 5th gear 60 - 80 mph
Average MTM chipped times
2.14 sec 1st gear 10 - 25 mph (0.10 gain)
2.83 sec 2nd gear 20 - 40 mph (0.43 gain)
3.32 sec 3rd gear 40 - 60 mph (0.64 gain)
4.13 sec 4th gear 50 - 70 mph (0.84 gain)
5.08 sec 5th gear 60 - 80 mph (1.57 gain)
I'm pleased with the results although I'm not sure how that compares to other chips but here's my question. I notice a much more evident lag in the boost than before chipping. When I shift and press the gas it seems to have a more noticeable lag and then it pushes you back to your seat when it does kick in. Could it be that I need a DV? Is it really going to make that much of a difference. Noticeable? Some say you really can't feel the difference with aftermarket DV vs stock. I just want to see if I can remove some of this lag that has now (being chipped) become more obvious to me. Your comments are greatly appreaciated.

if your OEM is functioning properly, there is not that big of a difference. Alot of people would recommend an uprated DV for a chipped car.
Forge 007P, Hyperboost etc are all good choices. Email me if you like

-'fluttering' feel upon acceleration
-'whooshy-blowing over coke bottle' sound when accelerating.
-loss of power in general
It will feel like your car is 'stumbling' to catch up with the acceleration input from throttle.
It isn't a science in most cases, just pay attention. In many cases, people have just upgraded to the aftermarket piece in pre-emptive fashion. If you want to do that, Stratmosphere has a good piece that they sell - it's called the HyperBoost valve. There are many other options out there though.

me notice more of a lag. I'm going to install an aftermarket DV anyways. Couldn't hurt. Thanks for you input.
