Default You haven't looked with the 110?

It was the same "non" boost hold gauge reading in either orientation.

Default I think you should tear out all of your gauge pods..

...and give them to me. I know the boost gauge isn't in the Wilson pod under the dash, but you'd better pull that out and give it to me too because of....you know...the magnetism and gravity situation....right?

Default LOL... You too can have "a" gauge pod : -)

it's only money.... and time and effort and some more money, but it's worth it in the end.

Default Sounds more like the gauge is the culprit...>>

If things still feel good, but worth checking all the variables...

Default What I notoced, without doing full VAG runs...>>>

is the reversed 110 drops out a little faster in 3rd gear. Spike to 20, then a fall-off to 15 or so (I think the reverse orientation is doing this as it needs just a bit more spring pressure since boost is blowing right up the piston/diaphram). In 4th, spikes to 20 and then wiggles back and forth between 18-20, something I never noticed with the Forge in normal orientation...again the spring thing in the reverse orientation is the reason I believe. "Feels" great though, and very linear and drivable.

Default Certainly a possibility. Seems odd though. Why would the gauge lose pressure and not vacuum?

I don't hear any leaks/hissing or odd sounds.

It's rock solid on the vacuum side. It does register the pressure (peaks). It just will not show it holding steady.

It's not logical. It's a dumb mechanical device. (I'm not doubting your suggestion, I'm just "logically" confused by the whole deal.

I wish I would "see" something like that.

Default Logic would have it then.....>>

If you're feeling boost, the car feels strong and everything else "seems" OK, you are getting some dis-information.......(gauge)....

Default Boost may go down as rpm increases and power still increase, my friend.

There is more at play than just manifold pressure. Remember, please, that normally aspirated cars have a power increase as the rpms rise also w/o *any* boost.

Default Couldn't agree more. It's just odd. Stupid mechanical gauge with a hose connecting it

The gauge is also brand new and not beat up or anything.

It should be no biggie to swap it out. It's a press fit into the pod so I don't have to R&R the "A" pillar. I built in enough slack (in the vacuum and illumination wiring) to enable maintenance.

I also have a hand held vacuum & pressure gauge. I could run a hose out of the engine compartment, take a drive and compare. Either way I'll be doing this tonight.

Thank you for all your input. I appreciate it!
