10 yrs ago, I got a similar ticket in San Diego on the 15. The cop wrote me up for 95+...as I flew by him and it took him 5 minutes to catch me, as I never saw him til he was behind me with lights blazing(I slowed down cuz I saw his buddy in front of me). The letter that they sent me said, I cannot go to traffic school and must go to court. Everyone in the courtroom laughed when they read the charge, I plea'd traffic school and the judge gave it to me with a $89 fine (otherwise I heard it was $300+ and that was 10 yrs ago)
