Default took my audio shop a good 3-4 hours to install

i have the bose stereo and had my audio shop install 2 12" subs in a box and a 600watt amp...

they stated that due to the bose stereo having an amp for each speaker it was a little more difficult/lengthy of an install than usual..

also, they stated that they couldnt draw their leads from behiind the deck (face/radio) due to only receiving minimal signal...

the subs pound though..... a lil too loud...

i have the stereo set at -3 bass and +2 treble and when i turn it down, its tough to hear the words.......

cheers... n happy boostin!

Default Here's my setup...

It's a simple 10" kenwood sub in a ported box with a 2 channel kenwood amp running bridge mode pumping only a mere 120W into the sub which is MORE than enough to power it. The previous owner was nice enough to do all the wiring for me and left the wires readily avaliable for me to drop my box in the back and hook up an amp. The amp cost me a whole $82.

I am running the output gain at MIN cause anything above that starts to drown out the other speakers with bass. I am running the Tre at +1 and the Bass at +4 and it sounds (to my ear at least) like the perfect balance. Everything else is still factory Bose and it works great for this application. I am very happy and it was very inexpensive, quick, and easy to make this TT bump and thump. I was of course going for feel and sound, but not looks. It's no 'show' set-up and it won't break windows as you drive by, but it's exactly what I wanted it to sound and feel like.

I drove around on my lunch hour with the system bumping and when I returned to work I decided to see how hot the amp got during that 30min drive and it wasn't even warm to the touch! At least I know I wont be overheating amps or blowing out fuses now.

Cheers!

Default Well...

I wish I could be more of a technical source of information for you but I know NOTHING about car audio other than what I learned to simply plug up the amp to all the pre-wiring that was already done by the previous owner. I dont know if it would help any but I went ahead and included the thread where the previous owner of my TT explains what his setup was and some of 'how' he did it.

Cheers,<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/70080.phtml">Previous owner explaining how he wired my TT during his ownership.</a></li></ul>

Default awesome resorces if you dig deep in those posts. >>>

I have a $600 setup that I took out of my old car before I sold it and got the TT but I'm too damn freaked to touch the BOSE stuff, and my 10" box might take up more trunk space than I want LOL.

Cool thing about the 3.2 though is the battery is in the trunk.
