Default Grateful for a new friend at Barber MSP

Saturday morning during my first run, I lost a coil pack on cyl 3 after the first 10 minutes. I pulled in, scanned the engine and verified it was the coil pack by moving it to another location, and checking codes again. It moved to cyl #1 where I had reinstalled it. So--- Called my dealer and got somebody in parts on Sat!!!! Good. After some checking they did not have a coil pack for an AMU 1.8T. Bad. Thought I was done for the weekend. Went to the drivers meeting at lunchtime and when it was over I asked the group if anyone might have one. A guy named Chris Smith from Chagrin Falls OH walked up and told me that his TT had blown a manifold to turbo gasket and that if he could not fix that, I could use one of his. In a few minutes he came walking up to me with it in his hand! Never met him before. What a great guy. Chris has an import repair shop. If any of you are near him I would sure check with him for indy service. A great guy. Told me some mechanical stuff I did not know too. Found that he also is doing Daytona HPDE in Dec. I plan on buying him the best steak in town while we are there. I'll have a couple of spare coil packs with me too.

Default Got it Ted, Thanks -saved you both in my address book.--------

We should have posed a Southern TT photo. At least 6 were from GA AL NC .

Thanks again for all your hard work on the event. It was very well done.

Admired your car. I hope mine looks half as good at 100K . Have you had the front clip reshot? I have lots of road rash compared to you.
