Had my TT in for TB replace, haldex and brake flush- should be good for another 9 years now! The temp gauge was reading low, while the temp on the climate control (code 51) was reading 90C rock steady. The new sensor solved the problem. Strange though how the temp gauge on cluster reads normal (straight up) when the engine coolant temp via the climate control reads 70C and doesn't change at all through 90C. So "normal" on the cluster is from about 70C to who knows how much above 90C. BTW my engine compartment has never looked so clean!
Kudos to induktion for a great job.

#51 always reads 90! (It's a smoothed number).
Try #49 as that is instantaneous!
But yeah, you probably needed one anyway! They can cause a myriad of ills...:-)

Today coming home (on 51) I started at 15C and went to 90C. Temp seems to jump fast, then slow down to a steady increase. Is there a code for battery voltage? I think I've been getting it from the AC compressor clutch (20). One FAQ code sheet list 49 as "Malfunction counter for speedometer (vehicle speed) signal". So I've been using the lists I can find and scrolling through to see what seems to make sense.
