Default grinding and high-pitch squealing noise from front left wheel

Has anyone else had a similar experience. I checked my pads and they look to have more than 80% life. Any thoughts on this....? Oh, and sometimes it sounds like a pebble gets stuck in there or the rotor protection is making contact....just a really annoying and panic evoking noise. Thanks.

Default Sometimes that shroud around the rotor gets bent & makes contact because of snow etc.

It was more exaggerated on turns in my case.I just bent it back.

check the CV joint. The noise would be provoked by turning the wheel.
