Default Guess what my dealer did when I took for my service at 5K >>

1. I had gotten my own oil and they used theirs instead, inspite of the note made in the worklist.

2. Car friggin pulls to the right and at times left and they are saying they couldn't find anything wrong, and if it was "their" car they couldn't think of it being better.

3. Never fixed the noise on the rear right side.

4. The steering while side of the car makes kind of a groaning noise when the car is cold, noise goes up and down w/ the accelerator. They dono what's causing that.

Couldn't recheck all this when I was picking the car up as it was the afternoon of "Blackout 2003"! Couldn't they think of a better name?

Take it up with the Service Manager since they disregarded your notes.

Well the person who was "supposedly" helping me was really apologetic so I gave him a chance.

At least they didn't damage the car. 2 out of 3 have damaged mine so far.

Default Sorry to hear it...

I always worried about the oil when I had my A4. I always used Mobil 1 after break in but I made them show me the empties so I knew what went in the engine.

When I picked my TT up from detailing some jerk stuck one of those dealer stickers on the trunk. Hmmmm....told them to take that off immediately which they did also apologetically.

Bottom line is they should do what you asked them to do and honor your wishes. It's not like you bought or leased a Dodge Neon.

Default This happened to me once......

I had my Mobil 1 in the back hatch and told the service advisor to use my oil. I watched the tech put there own oil in my car and had him drain it before he was able to start it. You just can't ever be too sure when other people are working on your car. Doesn't matter who it is, and if I hadn't been watching those guys I would have driven off not knowing any better. Ever since, I put the oil on the driver's seat so they have to move it before they get into the car. Sorry to hear that after all your posting about the 15W-50 that they didn't even use it. -Doug

I would. You did the legwork to get the oil. The least they could do is use it.
