Here's some text from a letter I sent to APR last week after a month of my car running extremely poor:

<i>Per our discussion on 12-27, I am sending in my ECU for my 2000 TT Q 180 Coupe for repairs. Something is not right with my car and/or the chip since getting it back from you last month.

Background:
* Car ran great.
* Car would not start.
* Chip was the culprit - was replaced by APR (and the 93 Oct. programming was added for the first time - previously, I only had 91 Oct. programming).

Currently:
* The car is mis-firing and I go to limp mode when pushing hard during acceleration.</i>

So, I just got woken up by Fedex (yea, it was 11:30 - whatever...) to find my ECU and a note from APR.

Basically the letter says:

<i>We've looked closely at this situation and discovered that we last updated your ECU with <b>Stage 3</b> software (which I DID not need or want), this is the reason your car has been performing poorly. We sincerely apologize for the mix-up and have added all of the available features for your car (stock, 91, 93, fault erase) to your chip for free.

Please accept our apologies</i>

Now... I guess that <b>would</b> explain a few things. Uh, huh.

When i feel a bit better, I'll install it and see if that damn thing runs. :/

That's a lil' scary that they did that to you though. Nice of them to upgrade all the features for you though for your hassle.... but I'd be concerned engine wise what it did, no?!
