Default Haldex Oil Change Questions

So I took my TT in for its 20K service last week
and once again, did not get to speak to a tech
at any time while there. I asked specifically about
the Haldex part when I reserved the service, but
got the normal "we do all we are supposed to do"
kind of response.

The only thing that shows up on my invoice are
9835WA945 1.65 - no idea what this is
1 1H0-819-644 filter
1 06A-115-561-B oil filter

I'm hoping the first filter is the Haldex filter,
but I can't find the part number listed in the
Bentley manual to verify. The one part number
I do find in the manual for the Haldex oil unit
is not to be found on my Invoice. I brought my own
engine oil, so that's why that is not listed.

Does anyone know what these parts are and /or can
anyone tell me how to cross-reference VAG part
numbers?

Thanks,

scot

Default Your dealer is incompetent...

and they lied to you. They did not do all of the required service - the 1H0... p/n is the pollen filter, the other one is the oil filter.

The Haldex filter is 02D-525-558, and the Haldex fluid is G-052-175-A1.

Default Haldex Parts

First call parts and ask if the mechanics have the special Haldex wrench needed for the job.
The following should appear on the bill:
02D-525-558-A  HALDXFILTER
G-052-175A1 HALDEX.FLD

Default Check out this PDF file...

The tool needed is in this package of tools.
My dealer could not find the tool in thier inventory, until I told them of this bulletin.
Perhaps your dealer has the same problem.<ul><li><a href="http://home.attbi.com/~ttbipes/pdf/haldextool.pdf">Haldex Tool</a></li></ul>

Default Nope, that's not them... (long)

The dealer needs:

1)a special Audi wrench to remove the Haldex oil filter
2) a special "one-use" oil cartridge for the Haldex oil
3) a special Audi cartridge gun to squeeze the oil into the Haldex unit
4) a replacement Haldex oil filter

and, optionally, a replacement washer for the Haldex drain plug.

My guess is the dealer doesn't want to change the Haldex oil: it's a bit "fiddly".

Default

I had to ask for them to pull out their service matrix and point it out to them!
