Default The place I'm getting mine done (more)

Told me they'd order the part that day (this was about a week ago), and that it'd be there in 3 days. My appointment isn't for another week. I have called and confirmed, they have the part and the oil. Sounds like where you went needs to learn how to order things properly.

Default I'm not super impressed . Each dealer seems to have its own set of problems... (not a rant, REALLY)

Either very short service hours, no Saturday hours, 3-4 weeks for an appointment, no loaner car, ride to work BUT no pickup, limited inventory, or less than stellar (treat you like a number, not a customer - not friendly) service advisors.

None of the dealers in our area has ALL these 'flaws', but usually more than one. For a premium car, none of these problems should exist, IMO.

Last funny thing at the dealer - never ordered the parts to fix the Bose whine - 3 weeks went by, stopped by (for washer fluid, and fix a key they mis-cut). They looked it up, no part was on order. How does this happen? They don't know. I'm not mad, just amazed. I don't think this will actually fix the Bose whine problem anyway, but if they think it will, I'll give it a shot.

Default Yep. Laurel -- the guy I talked to was very knowledgable, and very eager to help me out (more)

with my predicament. Seemed very pleased to take in a car that wasn't bought at their dealership, which is, to say the least, very uncommon with dealers I've found.

Doesn't make sense to me though, because as we all know, a huge chunk of revenue for dealers is the service they do, not on sales. The fact that dealers for the most part in this area are doing everything except saying 'no' to potential service customers only because they bought their car elsewhere is absurd.

Laurel so far as been far and above any dealer I've worked with in the area, and I've not even taken the car in yet. I'm hoping they live up to the expectations I've built up in my head.
