Default Add a little for the filter, but...>

You don't know how sloppy the prior fill was....:-)

yup, popping in the fridge a few hours before install would probably be helpful...

Default I always get less than a tube out

I have no idea where the stuff is going but I've done the last 3 changes myself and I know that I get a full tube in but what I drain out certainly seems like quite a bit less. No sign of leaks anywhere.

This is why I pay extra for the dealer to do it.

Default I can get it done faster than it takes to drive to the dealer >>

Plus I don't have to worry about the filter not being changed, how much oil they spilled, or some other issue.

Default A recent "fill" thread on the R32 forum on Vortex recommended against using the inspection port

to fill. Apparently on the R32 there is a blind nut that holds that plug. Apparently you can knock it loose. You'd know when you went to put the bolt back in the check hole and it wouldn't thread into anything. The blind nut is inside the case resting in a little pocket that keeps it from turning, but still allows a little movement. If pushed upwards it can fall out of its pocket and then the only way to fetch it is by cracking open the case.

I can't verify this - but just a word of caution for those going this route to be careful when you insert the tubing into the unit.

Default I thought I remembered the housing being threaded

so I wonder if the R32 unit is different than ours? Or maybe older TTs are different than newer? Will have to compare the grey and blue car at some point.
