Default Happaken... hows your project?? and custom turbo ppl... some input plz.

i heard you doing GT30.. which trim is that? does it work? when does the power come on?

I am torn between GT25 (310HP) and GT25R (440HP).

the GT25R costs $400 more, and it seems that no one has used it yet. It may spool after 4500RPM or not at all - which would suck...

GT25, I had a ride in scricco with 1.8T engine.. and it was fastest thing I've ever been in. The wheel was spinning even in 3rd gear, and it dynoed over 275HP+, and 275Torq+ at wheels... with max torque at 3700rpm...

Default 330hp daily driver, still fuel-pump limited, driving well

i used the GT30R, series 11 core assembly. The compressor is 0.70 A/R, 63 trim, 55lb/min max flow. Turbine is 0.63 A/R, 84 trim. 270whp at 17psi, full boost at 4kRPM. Power is still limited by the fuel pump, which i've been waiting on for months. i'm busy with grad school so i dont have as much time these days.

in terms of speed, boost comes on around 3000, tangible at 3500, so around 3800 it begins to feel like i'm squeezing a 100 shot (ie running nitrous) because the accel is so quick. i hang with most things on the road, but i got abused by a Z06 off the line the other night... just wait til i get my new manifold and fuel pump =D i'm hoping for round 2.

if i had to do it all over again i'd stay with the GT30R. i'm stepping down to a smaller A/R turbine (0.48) as soon as garrett is done with it (i've been waiting 2 months). that should get me full boost in the mid 3000 range.

the whole point of custom work (and believe me, you'll have to do EVERYthing custom) is to do something unavailable on the market. APR uses a GT28 or GT25 or something right? and i'm guessing their 225TT stg3 will use a GT30R hybrid, custom made by garrett. my guess is CHRA# 700177-0015 (series 15), capable of 400+hp. I'll tell you one thing: Custom will cost 2x more than a kit.

Default btw, it is hapa, not happa =)

happa = leaf in japanese. hapa = hawaiian word for half, as in half asian.
