OK, so when I posted my original thread I blew it by placing my "for sale" item here... My apologies. After reading the rules/regs, it states that I can refer readers to the ad I placed here in the audiworld classifieds under exterior parts... So if you are interested please check out the description there... I sure hope I can find a new home for this top...
Thanks!

They sure did! Their reason is that i put the words "partial trades considered" in my description... Rediculous! At any rate it is back on ebay ... Any questions, feel free to call or email me...

there were some extra parts in the original kit- 2 replacement door seals, 2 new larger latch pins, and 2 new header brackets. My old pins are in the picture along with 1 of the old door seals so you know what I'm talking about. In an earlier discussion on hardtops I mentioned that later roadsters "could" have incorporated these but I'm not sure. I suppose you could replacde the bigger guide pins with smaller ones but see the next post for the difference in the header brackets.

here is the difference between original and replacement brackets that came with hardtop kit. The new bracket is thicker with an angle at each end. Weighs quite a bit more that original.

I checked a couple of posts at this UK forum... One hardtop fitter stated that the front mounting plates are "really not needed" and another said that a better (and less time consuming) approach is to simply swap the front pins from the soft top and mount them to the hardtop...
