Has anyone converted their Frontrac exhaust to dual exhaust...
Has anyone tried converting the exhaust of their FRONTRAC TT to the dual ones found on the TTQ? I know that there will be cutting of the boot floor involved, but I just want to know if anyone has done it. TIA!

Most solutions aren't really a true twin exhaust since there is no space for the right side....
(extra wheel). Someone (not on this forum) actually took the wheel out and reworked the sheet metal to do it - in the end its way too expensive you would save money if you sold the FWD and got a TTQ over modying the sheetmetal.
Sorry to inform but there is no easy/cheap way to do it.
Now, if you don't care about actual performance and just looks then there are some kits out there that add the second exhaust with little actual decrease in backpressure. Some forum members have even constructed a dummy tip and put it in place (with a new valance) - looks great but there is no performance gain.

researched this alot myself...
i have a FWD TT too.
the simple answer is no.
you can fake the appearance of a dual tip, but that is the only solution i have found other than buying the 225.

ABT has the solution for you..

Damn! What sharp eyes u got there.

It was very simple. I retained the old plate on my passat and transfered the number to my new TT. During these transaction, I was just too lazy to put that new number plate on my old passat. I had 2 days driving my passat illegally on the road before i got the number changed. :_)
