Default The reasoning behind it is quite simple . . .

You live in NY and fly south for the winter . . . then you eventually retire in FL to die! lol Sad but true . . .

Default I know lots of people that have moved down there . . .

the weather, lower cost of living . . . I have given it some thought, but have not looked into it. My entire family is up here . . . I would also miss the snow!

Default VAG-COM doesn't mess with the dealer code

VWTOOL did and that could be a tip off. Also, using a non-stock ECU vs the original - the dealer code might be different.

Stick with the STOCK ECU in your car with trouble, if you chip do it to the SPARE ECU and be prepared....

Default We've also been through this before...

Since Audi provides all parts/service for free under the "Audi Advantage," they can void the warranty on any subsystem on the car they want if you used a third party part without having to prove the third party part caused the damage...

Default Don't know for sure; I wonder if selling dealer is programmed in as part of PDI...

So perhaps the fact that a dealership number <i>wasn't</i> programmed in was the tip-off...

Default But they're trying to void it on a different part. I think you are incorrect in your belief that...

the use of any third party product on any part of the car voids the entire warranty. If that were the case, the Audi warranty would be worthless.
