my day, mostly BMW E30s. I did a lot of work on an Audi 100 a couple of years ago and purchased a Bentley for it. With that and my tool box, there was no problem (including a tranny repair) that we couldn't do.
Explaining how to fix your regulator will go much better if you can "see" inside the door and how all of the components interrelate. If you have the manual, we have a frame of reference for our communication.
Make the Bentley for your TT your first mod. It's absolutely the best investment you'll make in your car

What's wrong with the window some things can be fixed with the window switch, like if the window stops half way up or stops jumping up or down when you open the door, there is instructions in the owners manual how to fix this as I learned on this forum. both my windows have acted up at one time or another and both were fixed just with the window switch

From what I hear, it's more realigning the window than actually putting in the new regulator. It took the dealer an extra 1½ or so to align it properly. I know a few here have tried it as well and it's not easy. Other than that...uhhh...I got nothing...just thought that might help. Good luck with it.
