Same thing going on here, though it seems to have stopped recently.

When I push the button in on left temp/ on/off side seems to stop when unit on...

I dont really want to leave on entire time though

..Thought would ask the experts here first prior to taking into dealership

Yes. Dealer replaced entire unit.....rattle gone.
