Re: Has anyone takien their TT to the Car wash ** HELP **
Usually, I take my TT to one of the "do-it-yourself" high pressure washes, and use their soap, but not that awful bristle brush. I clean the wheels with a very soft brush, and also dry with an "absorber" type synthetic chamois.
Then, I vacuum the interior with a 12 volt Oreck hand vac, and wipe down the top of dash with a mini California Duster, which lifts dust nicely out of the dash's textured crevices. Finally, I wax it with Meguiars liquid carnuba, and finish with the job off with clean terry cloths.

The wheels are not the biggest worry here!
The car wash could scratch the hell out of the wheels, and it wouldn't be noticable, except for up close, probably. When other people look at your TT, they are focusing on the paint and not the wheels. If you're worried about the wheels getting scratched, you better consider what's going to happen to the paint. They don't do a great job, but in an emergency, you could use a touchless wash. Also, look for a place that does handwashing. It will be worth the extra expense.
Charles
