Though I Bailied my 225q, I also owned a 180 FWD with a bad DV. There is no question in my mind that the Bailey would benefit a 180 or a 225, if the OEM valve was malfunctioning.

Default July build '00 180 Q Coupe - I am Bailey'd...

The Bailey upgrade helped one of my two conditions. The original "E" valve was Shot. Car was sluggish and fluttered with acceleration; with bailey all is swell.

Problem number 2 is a "throttle lift-off" noise which occurs at shift during acceleration. Bailey had zero effect on this issue.

All in all, if you have true valve issue, Bailey IS the answer.<p><a href=mailto:"azsyno@aol.com"><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/sigred2jpg.jpg"

Default the noise is the piston going up and down inside the Bailey .. .

sounds normal to me!

My Bailey is performing just fine.

I have APR chip + KN filt. definite improvement. Better power delivery and much much better throtttle response esp with chip (increased flow). Better still when I installed Borla which allowed more exh. flow opening up 5-7000 RPM vs before the car was gagged) but exhaust inmprovement not as pronounced as Bailey.<p>Darwin Wong
