Default Hazard Relay.

I just read SparTTan's instruction on replacing relay. Great point by point instructions.

I just had the dealer replace mine becuase is was acting weird. Do they install a better version on the relay in the car? or is it just a New relay that go bad again?

Default Same part, can't replace the "relays", they are all part of the assembly

Each relay here controls one side of the car.
Both relays switch when the Emergency switch is on.

Default

I think his question was more like "is the new part built better so it does not fail again?"

Default well, he asked specifically if the *relay* can/were replaced, so my answer still is no....

In fact, it's not the "relay* at all that goes bad, it's the electronic circuit that *drives* the relays.

the unit I have still works fine, if you drive the relays with a different circuit.

Default Unknown. Perhaps Audi "fixed" the circuitry, and just cut-in the new models using the same P/N. this

is typical.
check the revision letter on the board assembly of the new switch.
