Default headlight goes out

Hello
New to Audiworld. My headlights come on, but after a few minutes I get a bulb malfunction warning light on the dash. The driver's side low beam is out at this point. s this the bulb, igniter, or ballast? Conventional lighting (fluorescent) would indicate the ballast, but I have read the probable cause is the igniter. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Default

I had this happen once on my 2004. It had been raining all day and after starting the car about 2 minutes at most I got the warning, same light as yours. After that evening I haven't seen the trouble again.

Also all the other lights in the assembly worked just fine.
