Headliner color info - Denny & Phil
Denny, the color combo in your old Raudi - it's called, I believe, something like "ebony-ebony-ebony-grey", which has ebony interior *except* pillars and headliner which is light grey, opposed to "ebony-ebony-ebony-ebony" which is all black including pillars & roof. The details:
1. seat color
2. dash board color
3. carpet color
4. headliner color
Available combos are:
blue-ebony/blue-blue-blue
gray-ebony/gray-gray-gray
ebony-ebony-ebony-gray
ebony-ebony-ebony-ebony
So you and Phil have/had the third color combo. (Info taken from the german Audi home page - TT car configurator).

Argl - sorry for making you folks jealous again ;-)
...after the quattro GmbH stuff on authentic ebony leather in coupes available in Germmany
