Default HEAVY snow, soaked passenger floorboard.

I thought i had my leak fixed... I don't know what's going on, but for some reason my floorboard is SOAKED today. It's getting REALLY old, every time I wash my car or it rains... this happens.

It actually seemed like it was fixed, but now its soaked again...

Any ideas? Any spots prone to leaking. I checked my cabin filter and it wasn't soaked, but it was kind of damp...

Default Several possiblities...

You could have plugged drains in the cowl area like TTschwing indicates. (I had that problem on a VW Wagon. Water would flood over into the passenger compartment.)

You could also have a seal problem at the firewall or at the wheel well.

You could have a hole in the metal somewhere under the carpet that lets the water get in. (I had that problem on my Targa because of a hole drilled by the dealer to install a phone.)

It could be a leak at the windsheild seal base.

Is there a rain gutter in the cowl that could be plugged? Cabin filter should be dry, too...

Default I wouldn't think a hole in a wheel well or floorboard would "soak" a carpet - just get it wet.

This much water (by description) has to be coming down from the top - especially since washing the car induces it as well.

I checked under the car, its not coming from under, I put a bead of silicon around the plugs to be safe, its coming from above and running down..

the cabin filter wasn't REALLY wet.. but it was pretty wet.

does anyone have a picture of that area....

In mine, the water looks like its meant to pour into the area the cabin filter is in, but not into the cabin filter, looks like it drains out of the bottom of that...

I've heard about these drain ducts many times but still haven't found them... the plastic wiper shorud thing that goes from end to end on the windshield is somewhat lose, should that hold a seal against the window...

Where exactly is the water that comes down in that cowl supposed to go?!

Luckily my carpet doesn't smell or look different, I can't imagine how long this has been going on. I just have to keep cleaning the damn things... its 18 degrees out here and when I came out today the floorboard was nearly ICED OVER...

ARGH!!!!! It never ends.
