Default just to clarify...

Larry,

You wrote "...keep the throttle mashed and begin to get ready to press the brake pedal. You will lift your foot from the brake pedal and move it half way onto the brake and throttle pedals."

You did mean "gas" and not "brake" there, right?

Default Re: TT Heel and Toeing not perfect...

Actually whilst heel toeing is OK in the TT, the pedal placement is not perfect and it would be better if the brake pedal was set a little lower relative to the gas. I have one pair of boots (which I now don't wear when driving) which I always used to catch under the brake pedal when going from the gas to the brake quickly.

Default that has nothing to do with heel-toe . . .

that has to do with your not lifting your foot high enough to go from throttle to brake. Doesn't your brake pedal have a rubber side on the throttle side of the brake pedal to prevent just what you are talking about? The clutch should have one on its left side as well.

Audi will have the brake pedal higher to prevent what happened in the 1980's with the 5000 and "unintended acelleration". They used to have the pedals at the same basic height, but changed them because of that.

For heel-toe you want the brake to be set higher though. Else you would be reaching up for the throttle or you would be hitting the throttle when you only want brakes applied.
