Default HELP! ··· Tech Question : Gas Pedal Stopper Modification

Okay, so yesterday my buddy (Nikhil on here) gave me a spare gas pedal stopper to play with in the car. For those of you who know, this is the mod to stop hitting WOT, since the car goes from MAF learned values to a stored MAP, and hence isnt as fast.

My question/problem is as follows:
We tossed a VAG-COM on both our cars and with the stopper in place my car his 96.1% Throttle Position (TP) maximum. Whereas Nikhil's car still reached 100% TP.

What is the ideal MAXIMUM TP?

My assumption is based on this : I'd imagine that at some "magic number" the car switches from learned MAF to stored MAP -- what is that magic number? 95%? 85%? What do you want the TP% to max out at with the stopper in place?

Any info is appreciated... right now at 96.1% it feels good, but its a stock 180 (chipped next week, maybe late this afternoon)... so its hard to tell the minor gains! TIA for replies...

Default your mod's would dictate that>>>

a stage 3 Modshack car, that number is closer to 80% or so. This is due to the additional fueling requirements and MAF learned info, which is beyond normal chipped programming...
In my opinion, this is a trial and error mod and is based on feel.....

Default There is no "Magic Number"....>>

Since the Motronic responds to load based demands it probably varies a ton from situation to situation... Every throttle demand is read differently depending on lots of other factors that ultimately decide on how much "Go" to apply.

Remember, a throttle is not a throttle...It's a torque requestor...:-)

Default Hmm - I aways hit 100% throttle position at WOT.....

vag logs show that. Have you done a throttle body alignment?
