Default HELP!! Front Strut removal ???'s

When removing the front strut, from the engine bay there is a nut and the top of the strut assy..(holding it to the car) in the top of the strut is allen keyed....
I have no idea why this wouldn't be standard.. but is the key a 7mm??? I can't find a allen key to fit....
Anyone know??

Default Uh, Steve.....>>

I guess you don't have Home Depot's up there eh?
(yes it is a 7mm) Husky makes a nice (and complete) set of Metric and SAE Ball end wrenches for not too much $$ (Much$$ Cnadian!). Use a 13/16th spark plug socket with flats that you can put a wrench on, and run the 7mm down the center. Or, in desperation, Clamp the rod up high through the springs coils with a set of vice grips and spin the nut off. You're throwing the shocks away anyway, right...??
