I purchased a 2001 TTC and it had the airbag warning light activated when I received it, the salesperson said call in AM and set up an appointment for service. When I called for service I was told the earliest I could bring it in was in 45 days. I decided that instead of fighting at this point I would try to maintain a good relationship with the dealer and wait patiently.
Well the day finally came for service. I brought the TT in at 7:30 and gave them the list of problems:
Airbag light on
Parking brake button keeps popping off
Drivers sun visor light not working
Interior lights stop working intermittently
Bose upgrade radio has terrible whine
When I called at 3:00 they told me they needed 1 part that will not be in until tomorrow so come get a loaner car. {I was pleasantly surprised they offered that} When I arrived at dealer they told me the car will be done tomorrow and sent me to the person with the loaner cars. It turns out that it is really a Hertz rent a car salesperson at a Rusnak desk. They tell me the dealer will pay for the daily rental but urge me to take the roughly 10.00 a day insurance {scam #1 that I fell for}
Each day for the next week they gave me another story why it was not completed. Finally on Friday I was told everything is complete but the airbag and they don't even know when they will get that part. "Maybe a couple of weeks but they just don't know" , the service writer named Tom tells me I should call the salesman and tell him how unhappy I am and maybe he could get the part taken out of another car. {If paying forty thousand dollars was not enough I should scam and beg for help} I then said that since everything is done but the airbag I would like to come get the car, the service writer named Tom tells me he not sure he can release the car until the repairs are complete. I end up speaking to the service manager named Joe. I asked if it was normal to sell a car with the airbag light on, and why did they not get it into service sooner than 45 days, Joe says he will have the car put back together and I can pick it up on Monday.
Today I arrive at the dealership to pick up my car and low and behold nothing at all has been done. Not one item was completed.{scam #2} Tom gave me a big fat lie when he told me everything but the Airbag was repaired.
I asked for Joe the service manager thinking he would apologize and say I will have someone resolve this immediately, however he could care less and said he had no answer how this could have happened and needed a couple of days to look into this.
Just as I was praying this nightmare was over I got into my car to drive home only to find French fries left in my car and a hissing noise when I accelerate.
It just keeps getting worse, I called AoA hopping they could find out what part was needed and send it to another dealer to have it installed. They informed me that they could not do that, If I want to take it to another dealership the new dealer will have to diagnose the problem themselves and then order the parts at that point. So basically start all over.
I have waited 45 days for service, left it at the dealer for seven days, spent seventy dollars on a "loaner car scam" and I am no closer to a resolution.
I feel like a fool to have spent money purchasing a car only to be treated like Trash. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer gives a darn.
Any Suggestions???????

Tell them that your dealership is billing them for work they haven't been doiing.. I think when audi hears from a few customers that this dealership is taking them for a ride they might take some kind of legal action..

I bought my car from them as well but I've never been back ever since I drove off the lot. Write to Audi of America under the www.audiusa.com web site. I complained to AoA about this dealership too. My advice is to get your car as is and go to another dealership.

The relative paucity of Rusnak license plate frames during my survey of L.A. basin TTs this weekend is a clue: less than 1/10 of TT's surveyed had a Rusnak license plate frame.

From this page you can get to Bogey's complaint form to register your complaint. They love going after car dealerships. Especially slime like these guys seem to be. FRENCH FRIES in YOUR TT!? THE HORROR!

If you make one call and leave it, you might not see anything done. If you go the: "who's your boss?, who's their boss?, and who's their boss routine?", I bet you see some results!

...online. If we could put these experiences on the web in a more accessible location (like a consumer reports database) they'd have more impact IMHO.
Does anyone know of something like a bizrate.com for auto dealerships???
