Yesterday, a very hot day in Vancouver, I took my daughter to her soccer game and thought that I would leave the top down in the parking lot of the school the game was at. I could see it and felt comfortable nothing would happen.

Long story short, some jerks threw water ***** in the interior and I was paying attention to the game and didn't see them.

I returned to the car and wiped everything down that remained wet, but now I have water spots on the speedometer, tach, temp and feul lenes. I have tried to clean with windex and other glass cleaner. No help. I don't know if polish will hurt those lenes.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions?

Those lens are glass with a sunglass like coating.

Saw big fat greek weeding last night, (great movie) and while the father in the movie says windex is great for everything (lol) it's bad for cars...Ammonia is not nice to tempered and tinted glass...probably stripped the coating on the lens.

However, maybe clay bar would help...if not, a light vinegar rinse would do it but would probably ruin the lens more.

I'm in evanston right now...have a meeting from 5 until 6, then I leave at 6:15 for LP for dinner with the peeps i'm going to europe with. Then will be back later in Evanston. What's going on?

what i use to remove waterspots is eye glass cleaner that has an alchol base you might want to try that.............

what year is she? Do I know her? I haven't decided on where to slap the pss9s on...won't have them on until I get back from nyc at teh end of the summer

i leave for europe june 24...then to nyc on july 15, then back on august 15.

That's the only thing I use on my guages because just about everything else scratches them or leaves some kind of mark. Head to a camera store and pick up a pack and give it a shot.
