Help...My car broke down last Sat, thought that was coil pack..but it wasnt...

what will be the possible problem? i have chipped my car, will that be ECU problem? hope not...
the car can start like 2 second then just go off...no shacking...i remembered that the car just lost power all in a sudden...thats all i can tell, no smoke comming out from the car...that all i can tell...dealer is still checking out...but i am just too curious in knowing about what's going on with the car...please excuse my poor english and my explaination of the car(not a native speaker and mechanic)

I had a similar problem last year. All of a sudden the car wouldn't start. I would turn the key, the engine would turn over once, and then would die. It turns our the fuel sender(part of the fuel pump system) had an electrical failure. The engine was starving for fuel.
Once they figured it out, they had no trouble fixing it. As for the chip...... I have no idea if they will run a diagnostic on the ECU.
