Default Help with Samco inlet Hose please...

Hi everyone,
i am in the middle of replacment the inlet hose with the samco one. The problem is that i can't reach the down (turbo inlet) edge. Neither my hand nor the person in the auto service can get to the inlet to place a screwdriver...
Please help....

Default I used a 5/16x1/4 drive socket on the end of a Chapman hex drive once I got it loose..>

I could just barely twiddle the hex driver by my fingers...first one I did I cut the outside of my arm in a few places. Second one was much easier. BTW that OEM hose is held on there with a groove, once you get the hose clamp loose, wrap a rope around the bottom of the hose and run it out the wheel well to ease pulling the hose off the turbo. Be patient. This photo is me in the process of threading the rope into place on Dougs TT.

Default Do the bear hug trick -----------------

Remove the "hot" pipe along the back and side of the engine. You may also need to remove the tower strut bar. Now lay over the engine and with your left hand, reach down and around the turbo and get a good feel for where things are. As the post noted by crazyTT you will need to tighten the clamp on the new hose with a ratchett and you will be doing this blind.

Default One other thing>>>>

when i put mine on, I used " A LITTLE" WD-40 in the edge of the hose and i emphasize A LITTLE. That helped it slide over the turbo inlet housing. Good luck...
