Default Help still needed. Vag did not show any bad codes

Car still running bad. Ran vag on it yesterday and no thrown codes shown.
Hyperboost DV does not seem to be working. No blow off after acceleration. Check all connections and hoses. Replaced MAF 2 months ago. Car is also running hot when stopped at idle.

Any advise. Before I just take to Audi.
Someone said it could be the N249, but not sure where or what this is.

thanks
jim

Default Did you check the hoses on the left end of the intake pipe? There is ...

hose there that makes a U shape that sometimes splits and only opens up when hot. I have 2 ea. Passats with the 1.8T engine and both of them have had this problem. I replaced with a modified U shaped hose from an autoparts store.

Another hose that is very difficult to verify is the hose going from the N75 down to the N249. My Audi dealer's tech could not find this problem and blamed it on my mods. I got my VW dealer to look at it and it took 4 hours to diagnose and resolve. This is a tough one.

If this doesn't work, then put your chip in non-detect mode and remove your TTDA. If they blame your FMIC or exhaust, then have them prove how a non moving, non electrical item could cause a problem. Furthermore, the intake air flow is more restricted with the intake manifold than the FMIC. Exhaust is limited more by catalytic converter than rest of exhaust, IMO as a mechanical engineer.

Good Luck

Default Keep us updated...

I'm having a similar problem since months ago, but for lack of free time, I haven't found the problem yet. I suspect a BIG vacuum leak on the system.
