Default Help! TT won't start this morning

I have a problem that started today. I have had my TT 180 for just over a year and when I went to start it this morning it would not start. It sounded like the solenoid was clicking over but the starter/flywheel was not spinning. A light on the dash said EPS what does that mean. Sorry for the questions that the manual could answer but I had to fly out this morning and I don't have access to the manual.

All the other electronics worked and the battery sounded ok. Anyone else had this?

Default Might have been EPC

It may have been EPC it was 5:00am so I am not sure. Yes all the lights were on. Any ideas?

Default If all instrument panel lights on and on board read out went 'OK' it does not appear...

to be ECU...BTW the reason I asked about EPC that is the 'Electronic Power Control' status mode...this is like a 'limp home' feature in that when the computer detects a out-of-norm engine management function car goes into the EPC mode and you are restricted to about 20 mph tops...slow but better than walking!
Back to problem...1. low battery: enough residual power to light up low power consuming devices (instrument panel indicator lights as an example), but not enough to engage a high power consumer such as starter solenoid or starter motor. If low battery then diagnostics would be to check battery quality (fluid and cells)/alternator output/battery connections/charging system or all of the above 2. check starter solenoid and starter system...defective part? Loose electrical connection(s)? Corrosion on connectors? 3.Assuming what you were hearing was indeed the solenoid then wouldn't be a clutch-starter interlock problem 4. The EPC light issue...assume car never started, but if you did.. the EPC light go out?...if not then ECU is picking up something or the unit itself has a fault.
I would start simple...battery system.<p><img SRC="http://eerickso.tripod.com/amulettsig2.jpg" BORDER=0>

Thanks I will try that when I get home on Friday. It has to be the starter wire if any.
