Default Help, weird noise coming from the clutch

Hey guys, the TT is the first car that I drive with a stick shift, so I am knew to this. But The last few days I am hearing a weird noise coming from the clutch pedal. Every time when I am accelerating when I press the clutch I hear this very quite sound coming from it which sounds almost like something is spinning there. It only lasts a second. I have no problem switching gears, and everything works the same, but that sound is very annoying and I have no clue what it might be. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

Default Are you sure its coming from the clutch? I hear a spinning noise as well, but it happens about 2

minutes into my drive and lasts for about 10 seconds - not sure where the hell its coming from.

I thought it was the stereo, but it happens even when the stereo is off.

Default Re: Are you sure its coming from the clutch? I hear a spinning noise as well, but it happens about

My sound only is there when I am accelerating, and the reason I think its coming from the clutch is because it only happends when I press the clutch. It happends when I want to change gears, and after i get into the right gear, if I press it one more time going at a steady speend, I might hear one more time, but then when i press the clutch again the sound is gone, only to reappear when I want to get into a higher gear than I am driving at. Also when driving in 5th gear If i press the clutch the sound is not there. I have no clue what it might be.

Default Diverter Valve. Forum members have opted for RP DV like Forge or Bailey instead of OEM DV which has

caused problems.

Default RP DV like Forge or Bailey instead of OEM DV . . .

My dealer said an aftermarket DV would void my warranty so I had to have an OEM put in. I plan on replacing with an aftermarket unit when the warranty runs out.

Default I had similar sound right before my DV started getting loud...

Seemed like everytime I shifted I would hear a spinning sound like you described. Try this tho, in 2nd or 3rd gear hit the gas at least half throttle up to 3500 rpm and then let off and see if you still hear it, I bet you will. If so then more than likely it is the DV. Whether or not that means the DV has gone bad is up for discussion.
