hey all
im new here and this is my first post. its great to see that there is a place like this for TT owners...
i am the proud owner of a 2001 TTQ225 coupe (will post pix later) and i love the car to death- in my time i have had mercedes, bmw, volvo, VW, etc. and this car beats them all.
anyway, i have a question for those more experienced with this vehicle:
you know when you open the doors the window slides down about 1/2 inch, and when you close it it goes back up? well, my drivers side does not do this. the passenger side is fine and works normally, but the drivers side does not do it.
i used to have a 3-series BMW that did the same thing, and when i went to get the windows tinted the guys who did the job somehow tricked the windows into staying up so they could get the tint done. after the tint dried i took it back and they somehow reversed it.
i just bought this car about 2 months ago from a dealer, and the previous owner must have had the windows tinted because i notice residue on the edges of a few of the windows. so my thought is that whoever tinted the car messed it up and now the drivers window wont work the way it should.
other than this minor annoyance, the car is awesome and this is the only thing wrong with it.
do any of you have any suggestions?? help a brother out!!

http://www.thefirestillburns.com</a

This shouold be in the manual....
Run the window down, release then hit the down switch again for a few seconds, do the same going up...Should correct itself.
