Hey all just a small favor
My daughter is saving up the My Coke Reward points for school. They are attemtping to get a new camera and Tv for their school next year. If you are a Coke or Diet Coke drinker and could save caps for us that would be great. Every bottle of 20oz coke or diet coke with a red cap has a 15 digit code. The fridge packs that have the 12 cans also has a 15 digit code on the box. You can email me at gmunford@charter.net with the codes to aid in thier quest. Thanks so much

Ummmm....Gary..(sorry, Soapbox statement)...>>
Do you have any idea how much damage the Coca Cola company has done to the health of the youth of America and the World in general? Childhood obesity is at an all time high, Malnourished Africans can get Coke but not food.... Didn't Clinton just negotiate an agreement to ban that junk from schools? The parents of your daughters school should be outraged, not encouraging more consumption of that crap..There are lots of other, better ways to raise funds rather than succumb to the bribes of the Coca Cola Co.
Sorry, No Coke in this household.

That's kinda like blaming McDonald's for making people fat...
Let me preface this by saying that I don't drink soda anymore. I did grow up with Coca Cola in my household, though. My great-great grandfather was Warren Akin Candler (of Decatur, Ga.). His brother (my ggg-uncle) was Asa Griggs Candler, who bought the rights to Coca Cola in the mid 1880's for less than 4,000 bucks (when it was still a "brain tonic"). He moved the bottling company to Atlanta, made the drink an international beverage, and sold it in the late 19-teens for over 36 million bucks. He was responsible for putting the beverage in the trademark bottle it still uses, as well as removing the coca leaves from the formula. So as you can see, Coke has played a big role in the history of my family, and it is nearly blasphemous for me to speak negatively about Coke. I don't drink it, though, because I'm health-conscious. I don't think it's fair to say that the Coca Cola company makes people fat, though, or that said company ruins anyone's health. People make themselves fat and ruin their health by overindulgence (whether it be Coke, McDonald's, alcohol, tobacco, whatever). I don't think that a couple of Cokes a week is going to kill anyone, or lead to anyone's failing health. Kids who have 2, 3, 6, or more a day, though, that's another story. But again, I don't think that Coke deserves the blame for that. Blaming Coke for such things is like blaming Audi because someone got drunk, had a high-speed collision in a TT, and killed someone. It wasn't the car or the company that did it, it was the person misusing the product. Last I checked, there was nothing addictive in Coca-Cola. People just need to learn self control and moderation.
