Umm...They do..>>>
Self control and moderation are lost arts. Tell that to the kid in the lunchroom with a buck in his pocket and a Big, branded Coke machine, that the company has paid the school to put there staring him in the face....
You also gotta blame the parents and the media as well. How bout that KFC commercial where the Mom calls the kids for dinner and they run through the kitchen and jump in the car? Pretty sad commentary all around I'm afraid.
Neat bit of history though. Why aren't you driving a Ferarri?.......:-)

Nothing addictive? How about caffeine? The formula has most likely changed since 1800s ->>
I don't think anyone here is suggesting that Cola should be banned in general, but Steve did raise one very important point being availability of it in schools. Children can not be expected to make rational descisions about their choice of food and drink and hence we/parents have to make thouse descisions for them. I believe that banning coca cola from schools and replacing it with juice and plain water is a very good idea. BOne of the problems in North America is that parents in general are not educated about foods and effects of pop/fastfood on child's development.

My name is Charles Candler Hunt. I was closely enough related...
to get the name, but not close enough to get the money. I still do ok, though, and I'm much more of a Porsche fan than a Ferarri guy anyway!

I have said over and over again that the two biggest problems facing the world today are...
1.) BAD PARENTING
2.) IRRESPONSIBLE MEDIA
(Yes, I meant to yell that).
Look at all of the problems we have on this planet. Most (if not all) are either caused by or exacerbated by either #1 or #2 (or both).
