Default I went into a Honda dealer on Saturday to test drive a S2000.....

This was the first time sitting in a S2000, and I have to say, man is the int. ever so cheezy. I wasn't ever of a fan of digital gauges, but for everyone, there is their own.

I went with my little sister and i thought it would be a nice car to get her. My sister is a short little girl and upon sitting down, started looking for adjustments for the steering wheel. We couldn't find it. I ask the salesman who was standing behind the car where it is. His reply was "It doesn't have it, its a sports car." We nod and i said to myself, "I have a sports car and my wheel telescopes." My sister counters back to him a "Well, if I can't adjust the steering wheel, can I make the seat a bit higher so I can see over the steering wheel better?" His reply was, "No, it doesn't, its a sports car." Again I think to myself, "Hey, I have a sports car, and my seats can lift in hieght."

My sister says she doesn't like the car much, but it was cheap(as in price) and thats the only thing she likes about the car. The value of the car is great. Where can you get a 240hp car for only 32k. Right before I was about to ask if we could take it out for a spin, we take a look at the price. $32,700. My sister says, thats a good price. Then there was a 2nd sticker on the right which says, 38,699 with a "rk Price" next to it. The first word was covered up by the first sticker. My sister says to me, "I thought there was no options for this car. I thought it came fully loaded. So whats the option that is 6000 dollars?" I shrugged and ask the salesman what the option was...."Its the dealer markup."

"What!?! 6000 mark up?! Is that negotiable?"

"No sir."

"OK, Andrea, lets go buy high price German car instead of a overpriced japanese car"

Default Can the dealer...here in Northern Virginia S2000 stack up in the dealer lots, discounted and ....

rotors are rusting big time on the cars from sitting so long. Veneer cars don't last long in the 'gotta have' catagory...

Default Got to admire the engineering that produces that much....

power in a normally aspirated 2.0L (road car) engine.

Default Sorry but the TT roadster esp. in 180 form is not a sports car....

the S2000 is however. The TT is much more luxurious and better for showing off and it looks better. Much more of a GT cruiser. But as far as driving experience goes, the S2000 has 15 more hp, and weighs 700 pounds less, nough said.

For the money and if I'm looking for a true sports car designed for the track, give me the S2000 anyday. For the better overall street car, I'll take the TT.

Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races. I drove 3 banshees and remain unimpressed.
