Hi/low pressure switch blew off

Hi/low pressure switch blew off
Today the a/c hi/low pressure switch that is located on a hard pipe near the expansion valve blew off and purged all the freon and oil out; i just replaced my compressor a few days back and had the system recharged; can anyone tell me what could have caused this switch to explode? Thanks in advance.
