Default HID Foglights installed! :) Questions about Stock Ballasts (removal) of..

Is it possible to remove the ballasts w/out removing the headlights/front bumper? I looked around couldn't find anything. Maybe didnt look hard enough..

I am still looking for 2 ballasts... The right one is bad, the left one questioable.

The other issue is, has anyone had issues with the headlights not getting enough power to fire up the ballast? Last night, while trying to pull power for the fog light ballast when using a test light, the light was extremely dim. The same exact wire on the other side was bright. I am an electronics idiot so any help is appreciated.

Default That happened when I first installed mine... I undid the connections and plugged everything back in

and it's been fine since.

Default I am talking about the main ballasts

The ones that came with the car. We took the connector off, cleaned the connectors out and placed back in - and the darn thing is still dim. I am wondering if that is why the ballast isn't firing up... im not sure here... im retarded when it comes to that stuff.

It means you don't have enought power to light both bulbs, so it all goes to one side, lol!

Default I know that! :) But we did find another line on the connector that had plenty of power

that went off when the power was turned off on the light switch.

I am just curious to what woulud cause this.. bad ground, wiring, - i need to find out WTF is causing this!

Your new lights are causing it. They draw too much power!

Default No, my headlights were failing before that. And we disconnected the ballast for the foglights

and it was still DIM... so it's not that... :/ just wondering if it's a ground issue or what.. Plus there are a few people on the site that run HID's on their lights, along with angel eyes, and their hid's have no issue firing up.
