Default High flow cat. straight pipe to repalce while custom fab. quest..........

I am thinking of sending my stock cat. to random tech. to have them make me a custom high flow cat. At the same time I thought that I would put in a straight section of pipe to replace the cat while it was at Random. There is a sensor after the cat. Could someone with a manual for the car please tell me what it is and the implications on the readings without the cat. Will the car run properly?
Darwin Wong

Default 2nd oxygen sensor (after cat) is ODBII...you must have this sensor

operable as the differential in reading between pre and post cat sensors are used by ECU in adjusting fuel mixture.

Default To further carify.will it work if I put a fitting into straight pipe for 2nd O2 sensor?.....

Thank you, again. It looks like a big job to make the straight pipe due to the dual inlet and sinlge outlet so if it isn't going to work I won't waste my time. Instead I'll come up with a detailed drawing.
Darwin Wong

Default Frankly, I would research and adapt an off-the-shelf, free flow cat.

ExTTreme is doing custom work from E manifold (straight down pipe) to free flow cat. The man has been of emense help to me. Try a direct e-mail if he dosen't pick up on this thread. He posted recently down the page a bit.

Fer sure, the man has a good understanding of the issues you are addressing.
