Default high hp turbo kits???

My buddy is deployed overseas right now in Saudi Arabia. He has a 2001 180 TT and he is looking for a kit that will give his car over 300 hp. He told me before he left that he saw one kit that was 320 hp and on that was like 480 or something huge like that. If you guys could give me any links, prices, and or hp figures I'd appreciate it alot.

Thanks for the link I haven't looked at apr in a while I didn't know they had the tt over 300. Does anyone have the apr stage 3 or 3+ that can give their impressions on it??

Default Stage 3 is nice. not over 300hp though.

I hear Stage 3+ is 340 though. Difference between Stage 3 and 3+ is larger injectors, bigger turbo and a new program. There is mention of the software not being ready for the some 180 TT's (like my ATC engine)

You should also try contacting ATP Power. Their 1.8t upgrade uses the same turbo as the Stage 3 ( GT25/T28 i believe). I'm not sure if this is direct bolton to our engine block as the Stage 3 is. Good luck on your search for more HP!

Default Thanks for the correction. 320 with 100 octane and running the 100 octane program.

I'm running the super sexy 91 octane program in California...!

Default thanks for the responses........

So what kind of performance numbers have you guys achieved with these mods??? My bud said he wants to be able to beat Stangs, wrxs, and run with evos. Do you guys thinks that this kit is enough to do that???

Default interestingly enough... seems that the APR Stage 3+ kit is using the new GT28RS turbo

over on the vw vortex forums they are talking about a bolton swap for this. Now the difference between 3 and 3+ being new turbo (GT28RS), new injectors (560's?) and new software code (which they say you can use the Revo BT program)... this can be a DIY project ^_^

But then again... the cost to upgrade from APR Stage 3 to 3+ is $2k. the GT28RS alone is ~$1.2k Food for thought

Default according to APR, its not a off the shelf GT28rs

-compressor side is modified
-wastegate is modified
-turbine side - different AR

and dont forget the manifold & DP that comes with the kit....& programing, injectors, silcone hoses, etc etc.

its alot of the little things that you will get hung up on when trying to piece & assemble this yourself. there's a reason why it costs what it does.
