hmmmmm...keep the TT or dump it and go for the 350Z in 6 months

I've been thinking the same thing...
I love my TT, but it has two problems that will never be solved...
It needs another 50 hp.
The turbo lag really, really sucks.
While a chip might be able to get me another 20-30 hp, I'll lose my warrantee, and the turbo lag will still be there.
The Z has close to the amount of style of the TT, only more aggressive (most non-car-enthusiast people I show pictures of the Z say it looks exactly like the TT). My guess is that with the weight distribution of the Z it will probably out-handle the TT, and there is no question that it will stomp it in a straight line. Now that production is coming this summer, I've been seriously thinking of going to the Nissan dealer to give a down payment. Hopefully they'll give me a trade-in that will make it possible to get out of my lease without too much out of pocket.
The only thing the 350z is missing is AWD, but given how the winters in NJ have been recently, that shouldn't be too big an issue.

I ordered a Track model Z a couple months ago...
I got it for a $500 deposit and I paid M.S.R.P. I get the first one in AZ at my dealer. It is in Le Mans Sunset orange with the same interior. The Nissan nav sucks, so I didn't get it. Dealer told me that there is already a turbo kit for that particular motor. Gee... sounds fun. Don't you think.

No matter how you slice it....... It's still rice. Dude, go to your local
Audi dealer, and order your perfect 2002 225 QC with custom color/interior, then do what YOU do best.... MOD the crap out of it!
Besides, we'd miss ya here it you bolted to the dark side...

why? 35K and instead of wasting money on a turbo and associated
software and hardware - they are putting a common Nissan platform engine in there that can be tuned for 280-300 HP. Similar price to the TT coupe but a little less detail on the interior and a little more HP.

As a second car it should be great, but it has a few practicality issues:
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/4785/zhattch.jpg"></center><p>-Hatch is not as spacious as TT (although I do love the shutline along the shoulder)
-Headroom is minimal
-Front cabin space is more confining (according to associates)
It's a gorgeous car, no doubt about it, and should perform extremely well, but it's definitely not quite up to the "best of all worlds" category, as I find the TT to be.
The TT is my daily driver.
